ABOUT PAUL

Originally from the heart of northern Germany, Paul is a cabinetmaker by trade.
Since working for over 2 years as a themed joiner for Hobbiton in 2015 he found his passion for combining technical precision with a creative vision & kiwi ingenuity.
Throughout his career, Paul has contributed to a range of international productions not only in New Zealand but Germany, Ireland and Australia.
Today he is a Wellington based set builder & joiner
with 10 years of professional experience in the film industry.
Paul founded Weka Sets Ltd in 2025
